Last month, my dad posted a link to a TED talk on his Facebook page: Matt Cutts: Try something new for 30 days. I really like the idea of doing something for a predefined length of time (daily drawings, anyone?) and so I've decided to take the month of August and each day work on something I've wanted to do for a while: make clothing.
Normally, I'd take a few days to completely sew something, so I needed to come up with things I could complete quickly if need be. I'll spend more time where I can, but I do work a lot, and run a lot, and then there's eating and sleeping and other habits like that...
So this month, every day, I will take something I get from a thrift store and refashion it. And then I'll wear it the next day, take a photo and post it. Sounds like fun.
(And sorry in advance to my coworkers. I expect to look a little freaky at points this month.)
